Rich experience

WSPiA University of Rzeszów has been educating students in the field of "INTERNAL SECURITY" practically from the beginning of its existence - that is, for over 25 years. At the beginning it was a specialisation in the field of "administration". Later, it became an independent bachelor's degree course.

Since 2014, WSPiA, as the first university in the region and one of a dozen in Poland, has been authorised to offer second degree studies in this speciality. As a result, after completing your bachelor's degree, you can continue your education at WSPiA University of Rzeszów, gaining a professional master's degree.

At WSPiA you have a wide choice and many opportunities

First degree studies in the field of "internal security" last six semesters. They end with obtaining a professional bachelor's degree.

We offer you an excellent, attractive and adapted to the needs of the labour market didactic offer.

You can choose one of six specialisations:

  • Defence Preparation and Military Security
  • Crisis Management,
  • Cyber Security,
  • Economic Security - NEW!
  • Public Security Protection Services,
  • Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism

 

Classes in the specialities are started on condition that a sufficient number of candidates apply. If no group is formed in your chosen speciality, there is the possibility of studying the speciality in an individual course. You can also propose a speciality that is not on the list and study it on an individual basis, provided that the University has the staff capacity to run it. You can also multiply your competences by choosing several specialties.

Classes at the first degree programme in "INTERNAL SECURITY" at WSPiA are taught by the best specialists in the field of, among others, criminology, criminalistcs, criminal law, police law, psychology, administrative law, national defence and military sciences.

Practice is paramount

In the Bachelor's degree programme in 'INTERNAL SECURITY', you will find many interesting practical classes, including conversation classes, exercises, workshops, practical labs and simulated crime scene inspections conducted by experienced practitioners. Students also learn using an interactive Internet threat simulator that allows them to create and combat threats in cyberspace, a virtual crime scene simulator "Cyber Crime" and decision-making games on procedures for authorities and services in emergency situations.


We also have a new proposal for attractive exercises, the 'Safety Clinic'. These are classes where you become the lecturer. During the exercises - under the guidance of a practitioner - you solve case studies, discuss and teach other students. Your activity and creativity during such classes is rewarded with additional points within the Educational MIX.



At WSPiA you will also benefit from a unique system of additional education. It enables you to gain additional, specialised qualifications to complement the universal and comprehensive education you gained during your studies. The system is called BED (Supplementary Education Voucher). Under the BED, you can choose additional free classes according to your interests.
